Community Architecture
Lipinski Pates have worked on a number of church and youth club projects in South West London. The building stock in our care varies from Grade 1 Georgian all the way through to more recent buildings from the latter half of the Twentieth Century. Church projects have been both large and small and have varied from extensions and re-ordering through restoration and maintenance work down to small scale interventions to improve facilities. In all cases our approach is to provide a flexible response to the needs of congregation and the community to allow the buildings to adapt and grow as the needs of their users develop and change.
Alan Pates is a member of the Ecclesiastical Architects’ and Surveyors’ Association and is the Inspecting Architect for a number of churches in the Diocese of Southwark.
