Romsey, Hampshire:  Refurbishment and extension of a listed house in Romsey, Hampshire.

Internal and external alterations were carried out at this three storey listed terraced house and a new glazed extension built to house a dining area.

The glass roof of the extension forms a double-height space linking the two floors and maximises views of the mediaeval Abbey Church at the rear. The new staircase provides a direct link between the first floor study and the dining area and there is direct access into the mature garden from the extension via new glazed doors.

The existing kitchen and dining room form a large open plan area permitting views of the Abbey and the garden from deep inside the house. A small cloakroom and wc have been located off the entrance hall. On upper floors the house has been rearranged to form three bedrooms and three bathrooms. A new en-suite bathroom will be accommodated below the pitched roof.
